Welcome to Task Force 72

S.E.N.T.I.N.E.L. (Sector Exploration and Necessary Tactical Interdiction Near Enemy Lines).

2387… The treaty of Bajor brought about the end of conflicts, brought about the cessation of hostilities between the Federation Alliance and the Dominion; but a new threat to the Federation quickly evolved. The Breen, and all because of the Valoris Nebula.

The Valoris Nebula, is a large Class 4 nebula located in sectors BS18 and BS19, near the borders with the Breen encompass a large area of both Breen space, and Federation space. While the Valoris Nebula was considered stable at the time of the signing of the Treaty of Bajor, a subspace singularity in mid-2385 caused it to rotate with relation to the surrounding stars. This moved several inhabited systems across the border in both directions, placing Federation colonies into Breen space and worlds raided by the Breen for slaves into Federation space. It was certainly not what the Federation needed in the area, as systems on the Federation side of the border were being. During this time; Starfleet decided that it was essential that a Task Force was created and assigned to the area in order to watch over the contest area, along with making sure that neighbors; the Ferengi and the Cardassians either keep their distance or play nice in the region. The Task Force was assigned to the Fourth Fleet and designated as Task Force 72.

Task Force 72’s area of operation is designated as between BS05 and BS25, which is south of the Cardassian demilitarized zone and around the Helaspont Nebula, near Outpost Alpha-5. Task Force 72’s operations were to stop any supplies from reaching star systems on the Federation border that were under Breen control, in an attempt to weed out the Breen from Federation space while also trying to keep the peace around the region and protect the border.

Here you will find information on the various ships in the Task Force, as well as other relevant information, including contact information for Staff and Commanding Officers. The Task Force is continually growing and expanding, so check back often for updates. We invite you to take a look at some of these ships, and maybe even join a crew. We're always looking for new talent to add to our simulations. If you feel confident and experienced, you can also try applying for command of a ship. We have some great simulations that are always on the lookout for new crewmembers and we also have an open command from time to time that will open up for new Commanding Officers. No matter what you do be it command or just joining a simulation; you will be be playing an integral part in Task Force 72 and Bravo Fleet! I welcome you to Task Force 72 and can't wait to see you on one of our simulations.
